ABOUT ADHD COACHING
Hello, I’m Charlotte and I’m an ADDCA-trained ADHD coach, working with adults with diagnosed or suspected ADHD.
As your ADHD coach, we will work together to get your own unique ADHD brain working for you, and to look at how best to engage your personal interests, skills, strengths and more, to better support any areas of challenge or change. By developing this new awareness, you will be on the path to achieving more clarity, control and calm in your life.
During the coaching process we will explore any conscious and unconscious beliefs, emotions, intentions and desired outcomes for now and the future.
All coaching is held in a confidential, supportive and non-judgmental space, as we work together towards achieving the changes you'd like to make.
I also work with family members and colleagues living or working with someone with ADHD who would like to support them with greater understanding and empathy.
About ADDCA:
Founded in New York in 1998, ADDCA is the global leader in ADHD coach training and education, offering the most recognised and extensive ADHD Coach Training Program, fully accredited by both the ICF and PAAC.
MY OWN STORY
I discovered ADHD later in life when, as a career woman, mum and wife, life became impossible to navigate. Executive function and emotional regulation issues were affecting every part of life, and none of the hacks and masks I’d spent a lifetime perfecting were working for me. I was bouncing in and out of burnout.
This started me on a four-year journey to understand how my life, hormones and brain were all working against one another.
Looking back on my childhood through this new ADHD lens, it all makes sense. I was the kid on the headteacher's carpet knowing something was different. I was the 'creative' one, the 'funny' one, the 'good in a crisis' one, the 'what are we going to do with her' one! I navigated the school system the hard way, but got to where I needed to be in the end. It's a long story that I'll save for another day!
It was only when I started work that my brain really started to work for me, although this came with ADHD-related anxiety, perfectionism and other challenges that I would only later be able to understand. Mostly however, working in an ever-changing, highly creative environment suited me, and it’s where I’ve spent the last 25 years, working in entertainment PR for some of the world's biggest brands.
When I’m not coaching I love to get creative, with recent endeavours including stand-up comedy, creative writing, and all kinds of making. Dr Ned Hallowell says all ADHD brains need a creative outlet and I fully subscribe to this school of thinking.
I live near London with my husband and two children.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is ADHD coaching?
ADHD coaching is a collaborative partnership between a client and coach that focuses on improving the client's ability to use their own unique brain to achieve their desired outcomes. All of the ADHD coaching I offer adheres to the ICF (International Coaching Federation) and PAAC (Professional Association for ADHD Coaches) frameworks and codes of ethics.
How is ADHD coaching different from therapy or counselling?
Coaching focuses on achieving personal and professional goals, and identifying practical strategies for day-to-day functioning, while therapy often delves deeper into emotional issues including past trauma.
What can I expect from an ADHD coaching session?
During a session, we’ll work together to identify challenges, set goals, and develop specific strategies to help you succeed. Sessions typically involve processing beliefs, problem-solving, planning, and accountability to ensure you make progress between sessions. I will be your professional thinking partner offering support and encouragement in a confidential and non-judgmental space.
How long does ADHD coaching take?
The duration of coaching depends on your individual needs and goals. Some clients may benefit from a few months of coaching, while others may prefer long-term support. Many clients start with a 3-6 month commitment to see noticeable changes.
Is ADHD coaching conducted online or in person?
All coaching sessions are conducted online (via video conferencing or phone calls), with a view to having in-person sessions depending on your preferences and location.
Do I need a formal ADHD diagnosis to work with an ADHD coach?
No, a formal diagnosis is not required to work with an ADHD coach. If you identify with common ADHD traits, such as difficulty staying organised, managing emotions and impulsivity, focus and time management, ADHD coaching can still be beneficial.
How do I know if ADHD coaching is right for me?
If you struggle with focus, emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, organisation, procrastination and rumination, time management and more, and feel that ADHD impacts your daily life or goals, ADHD coaching may be a good fit. Booking a free discovery call can help you decide if coaching is the right approach for your needs.
What qualifications should I look for in an ADHD coach?
It’s important to work with a coach who has specialised training in ADHD coaching or extensive proven experience working with ADHD clients. Look for certifications from the industry’s recognised coaching organisations (such as ICF, ADDCA, or PAAC).
How often do coaching sessions occur?
Sessions are usually held weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your needs and goals. Frequency can be adjusted as needed to provide optimal support and accountability.
What should I bring to my discovery call?
For the initial discovery call, it’s helpful to bring a brief overview of any goals or challenges you’d like to discuss. If you agree to engage in a client coach agreement with me then you’ll receive a welcome pack to help get things in place for your first session.
Do you coach children and teens?
I’m currently only working with adults with ADHD and people connected to ADHD in some area of their life – this can include parents of children with ADHD, but not the children themselves. I will be offering coaching for children and teens towards the end of 2025, once I have completed the specialist training at ADDCA.
What if I don't see progress with ADHD coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative process, and progress can sometimes take time. If you don’t feel you’re making the expected progress, we’ll work together to adjust the approach, identify roadblocks, and explore different strategies to help you succeed.
How do I get started with ADHD coaching?
To get started, you can schedule a free discovery call to discuss your needs, learn more about my coaching process, and determine if we’re a good fit to work together.
